Ms Claire Fitzgerald is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon working at Newham University Hospital and for the private sector at the London Bridge Hospital. She provides a broad range of treatments for shoulder and elbow conditions, including reconstructive treatments such as arthroscopy and replacement surgery.
Ms Fitzgerald qualified from the University of Wales, College of Medicine in 2003. Following this, she completed her surgical training in both Wales and London, along with two prestigious fellowships at University College Hospital and Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital. She was then appointed Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in 2015.
Apart from her clinical work, she has published her research in many peer-reviewed journals. She is also known to have contributed to the set-up of a randomized controlled clinical trial at the National Institute for Health Research.
