Professor Ali Ghoz currently practices in London, where he specialises in hip and knee replacements, arthroscopies & arthroplasty trauma & fractures, robotic assisted surgeries, minimally invasive pelvic surgery, arthroscopic knee surgery, complex poly trauma and pelvic reconstruction. He is currently a clinical lead of orthopaedics at The Cromwell Hospital.

Education and Training

Professor Ali Ghoz holds a Master of Science degree from Oxford University specialising in Musculoskeletal Sciences. He completed his basic surgical training at the Yorkshire School of Surgery, progressing to a National Training Number for Specialist Registrar training at the Yorkshire Deanery. He obtained the Specialist Fellowship FRCS in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery in 2011 from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. In 2013, he completed a Fellowship in Adult Hip and Knee Reconstructive surgery at the Royal Berkshire Hospital. In 2014, he completed the Australian Orthopaedic Association accredited Adult Hip/Knee Arthroplasty, Knee Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Mater/Prince of Wales Hospitals, Sydney.

International Experience

At the University Hospital of Moldova, Prof Ghoz has the position of a Visiting Professor in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery in addition to being an Honorary Professor and Head of International Affairs for Deraya University in Egypt. He also speaks regularly about his specialist interests at national and international meetings.

His global surgical experience ranges from work in Australia to Eastern Europe, Asia as well as the Middle East and continues to provide regular expert surgical work in the Middle East, Europe, and Asia.

Volunteer work

Prof Ghoz is a regular volunteer at Chişinău Emergency University Hospital in Moldova in addition to recently doing charity work through operating on military personnel.

Personal

On a personal level, Prof Ghoz enjoys playing football regularly with his son as well as various sporting activities with his daughter
