Synopsis
Mr Parviz Sadigh is a Consultant Plastic Reconstructive Surgeon specialising in post-trauma reconstruction at The Royal London Hospital, the UK’s largest trauma centre.
Mr Sadigh is a highly skilled surgeon who sub-specialises in complex microsurgical reconstruction of the extremities both in the acute and sub-acute setting. Microsurgery is adapted into Mr Sadigh’s discipline of plastic surgery where he performs intricate, complex operations on tiny structures.
This is of relevance to plastics, where it is used in areas such as reconstructive surgery (of breast, complex limb injuries, etc). Mr Sadigh is one of the only surgeons operating in this particular discipline within the UK.
He works closely with his Orthopaedic colleagues to ensure optimal functional as well as cosmetic outcomes for his patients.
History
Mr Sadigh completed his specialist training on the Pan Thames rotation in London before embarking upon a number of international fellowship programmes. This included time spent at The American University of Beirut, Lebanon undertaking a trauma fellowship. Additionally, Mr Sadigh travelled to The Far East where he successfully completed advanced microsurgical training in Taiwan, Japan, China and South Korea. As an Honorary Senior Lecturer on the Microsurgical Masters Programme at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Mr Sadigh has published over twenty papers in peer reviewed journals.
