See a doctor regularly: Schedule annual skin cancer screenings with a dermatologist, especially if you have a history of sunburns or fair skin.
Perform self-skin exams monthly: Look for any new or unusual moles, growths, or changes in existing moles. Pay attention to the ABCDEs of melanoma (Asymmetry, Border, Color, Diameter, Evolving) but be aware that basal cell carcinoma can also appear differently.
