Mr Yassir Iqbal

Mr Yassir Iqbal is a Consultant Cardiac Surgeon based in London and is currently a substantive consultant at St Thomas' Hospital, Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. He provides comprehensive adult cardiac surgical care in both NHS and private practice settings. Mr Iqbal completed his cardiothoracic surgical training within the West Midlands training programme, gaining broad experience in major tertiary centres with exposure to complex cardiac surgery, major aortic surgery and cardiac transplantation. He subsequently undertook an advanced fellowship at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, focusing on off-pump coronary surgery and total arterial revascularisation techniques. Mr Iqbal has a specialist interest in complex aortic disease and advanced surgical approaches for high-risk patients, with a strong commitment to evidence-based practice, enhanced recovery principles and multidisciplinary decision-making.
