Dr Georgios Eleftheriou

Dr Georgios Eleftheriou is a highly experienced Consultant Paediatrician based in London, with specialist expertise in paediatric rheumatology, dermatology, and safeguarding children. He currently practises at Barts Health NHS Trust and is the Rheumatology Service Lead, Morbidity and Mortality Lead, and Named Doctor for Safeguarding Children at The Royal London Hospital. Dr Eleftheriou graduated in Medicine from Cambridge University and University College London. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH) and completed advanced postgraduate training across some of London’s leading children’s hospitals, including Great Ormond Street Hospital and UCLH. Alongside his clinical work, Dr Eleftheriou is actively involved in medical education, mentoring, and clinical leadership. He regularly teaches doctors and GPs, serves as an educational supervisor for trainee doctors, and contributes to postgraduate training and examinations through his work with the Royal College. Central to Dr Eleftheriou’s practice is taking the time to listen carefully to the concerns of children, young people, and their families. He believes that compassionate, thoughtful communication and collaborative decision-making are essential to providing the highest standard of care.
