Dr Geoffrey Brent

Dr Geoff Brent is a UK-trained Consultant Dermatologist on the GMC specialist register. He has a special interest in skin cancer, mole checks and skin screening, and consults on all aspects of general dermatology including eczema, psoriasis, acne and rosacea. He also performs minor surgery for the removal of skin lesions.

Following a BSc in Neuroscience, Dr Brent obtained his medical degree from University College London in 2015. He undertook specialist dermatology training in the highly competitive South West London training programme. He has received several prizes and awards, including from the British Association of Dermatologists, Royal Society of Medicine, and St John’s Dermatological Society which included the Annual Best Registrar prize in 2023. His training culminated in being awarded a place on the prestigious Euroderm Excellence Programme for the top-ranked dermatology trainees from each country in Europe.

Dr Brent has conducted research throughout his career and has numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals. He has presented his work both nationally and internationally. He obtained a PG Cert in Healthcare and Biomedical Education at St George’s University of London and enjoys teaching medical students and resident doctors. He is currently working with the British College of Dermatology to create an interactive learning resource for GPs. He has been a trainee representative for South West London on the Specialty Training Committee and National Dermatology Training Committee. He is a member of the British Association of Dermatologists.

Dr Brent has a friendly, empathetic and collaborative approach, and is committed to delivering high-quality personalised care for his patients. Away from work, you may find him spending time with his wife and daughters, or on the squash court.
