Dr Ehsan Karimiani

Dr Ehsan Karimiani is a Consultant Clinical Geneticist in London specialising in genetic testing, genetic counselling, and the diagnosis of rare and inherited disorders. He provides in-person and online consultations for adults, children, couples and families. He holds an MD, an MRes in Translational Medicine and a PhD in Medical Genetics from the University of Manchester. He is also the founder of London Genetics. His specialist interests include rare diseases, neurogenetics, reproductive and prenatal genetics, hereditary cancer, paediatric genetics and pharmacogenomics. He provides personalised assessment and arranges appropriate investigations, including targeted tests, carrier screening, whole-exome sequencing and whole-genome sequencing. Dr Karimiani is also actively involved in research and university teaching. He has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and contributed to the discovery of several disease-causing genes.
