Synopsis
Mr Hussain Alnajjar completed his pre-clinical Medicine at St Andrews University in Scotland, and clinical Medicine at University College London Medical School (UCL).
He undertook academic training with a Master of Surgery degree at the University of Edinburgh in Urology, passing with Distinction. He received broad training in all disciplines of Urology and completed his higher surgical training at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge. He undertook his advanced fellowship in surgical andrology and genito-urethral oncology at the world-renowned specialist Andrology unit at UCLH, further refining his specialist skills and performing cutting-edge surgery.
Mr Alnajjar has a dual qualification, being awarded Fellowships with The Royal College of Surgeons of England FRCS (Urol) and the European Board of Urology (FEBU). He has won several awards and prizes for his clinical and academic achievements, including a coveted award from The Royal Society of Medicine. He is also an MRCS examiner for The Royal College of Surgeons of England, and a member of the European Board of Urology examination committee.
Mr Alnajjar has published widely in a number of high-impact factors peer-reviewed medical journals and is actively involved in research in his field. He has extensively presented his work at national and international conferences including being an invited speaker at international conferences. He has written numerous book chapters and has co-edited 2 textbooks within the field of Andrology.
Mr Alnajjar is a keen mentor and trainer to senior fellows. He is also a Urology tutor for UCL medical students and the MCh (Urol) Master's degree course for the Andrology module.
